Velvety sablefish coated in a rich sweet umami sauce with a caramelized top.

We've cut a 6oz portion of black cod and covered it with a delicious miso marinade, vacuum sealed, and flash-frozen it. You simply defrost and bake it in the oven for a restaurant-quality gourmet meal at home.

Have you ever tried a miso-marinated black cod recipe? It's fantastic...but it takes a lot of work to find all those specialized ingredients, buy them all, prepare the sauce and then marinate the fish for 3 days. Well, we just did all the work for you!

    Black cod is one of our personal favorites and has long been a prized commodity on the Japanese market. In fact, Black Cod can be difficult to find in the U.S. because a majority of the catch is offloaded directly into containers and shipped straight to Japan. Of all white fish, Black Cod has the highest levels of healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, which gives it a silky texture and rich, buttery flavor. It has soft, delicate white meat that flakes easily.  



    Each 6oz Black Cod portion:

    • Cut by hand, and will have natural variability in size and shape, actual weight may range from 5.5-6.5oz, plus 3oz miso marinade in each package
    • Cut with skin on.
    • Vacuum sealed and flash frozen




    We ship directly to your door in insulated boxes. All orders are shipped on Mondays. If you place an order later in the week, expect shipment the following Monday. We will send an email with the tracking number on the day it ships so you know when to expect it. 

    You can schedule your preferred week of shipment for gifts, special events, or to avoid a time when you will not be home. We guarantee the week of arrival, but not the specific day.

    In March and April, Rich longlines for Halibut and Black Cod in the icy Alaskan waters of the Pacific Ocean. These are always wild fish that have lived their lifespan in the most pristine ocean waters of Alaska. Long-lining has a rich history in the fishing community and is known as one of the most environmentally friendly methods of fishing. Each fish is brought aboard one at a time and placed on ice. 




    Our wild ocean run seafood is all-natural:

    • No added chemicals
    • No artificial coloring
    • No preservatives
    • No pesticides
    • No growth hormones
    • No antibiotics
    • No GMOs

    Keep frozen until ready to eat

    Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or 45 minutes in COLD water


    Remove fish from pouch and place on a foil-covered baking sheet 
    Bake at 450 F for 20-25 min, broil for 2 min until carmelized
