Garlic Butter Halibut Cheeks

Halibut cheeks are one of the seafood world’s best-kept secrets. These tender, sweet morsels are prized by chefs and seafood lovers alike for their delicate texture and mild, buttery flavor. When paired with garlic and butter, they transform into an irresistible dish that’s both simple and indulgent. Ingredients

  • 1 lb halibut cheeks
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground paprika
  • 1 lemon, to taste

Instructions

  • Defrost halibut cheeks and completely pat dry. 
  • Sprinkle the halibut cheeks with the seasonings: salt, Italian seasoning, pepper and paprika.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter and garlic over medium/high heat, stirring frequently.
  • Add halibut cheeks to the pan and cook 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon onto each side while cooking.
