Fish and its Magical Healing Powers

Fish and its Magical Healing Powers

Posted by Sena Wheeler on

We have a lot of really great customers, and we have enjoyed connecting with so many of them over the years.

But this one customer in particular really caught our attention.

He is consistently sending very large boxes of fish to different people all over the country.

So we (ok, Rich) finally got up the nerve to just ask him what in the world he is doing with all this fish!

He told us he is sending it to friends and family because of the "magical healing powers" of our fish.

Now I can't make any official claims or anything...but, off the record- I have to say I agree with him.

I feel like wild fish (naturally high in omega 3's, clean protein, vitamin D, vitamin B12, selenium, antioxidants etc.) is one of the healthiest foods on the planet.

Yes, I may be a bit biased. But Rich and I credit our families' excellent health to the large amount of seafood we eat. In fact, one of the reasons we started Sena Sea was to share this important resource with others.

Wild caught salmon shows up on every superfood list I've seen. Superfoods are foods that are extremely high in micronutrients like vitamins and minerals, as well as antioxidants, enzymes and healthy fats.

Superfoods can help everyone eat a little healthier anytime but are also especially useful in times when we need all the support we can get, like recovering from surgery, having a baby, elite athletic performance or fighting cancer.

A couple months ago, a lifelong friend and customer reached out and asked me what foods she should be pairing with her salmon to help in her fight with cancer. I compiled this list for her and thought I would share it with you:

Top 10 Superfoods

#1 Avocado

#2 Pomegranate

#3 Berries

#4 Broccoli

#5 Seafood

#6 Garlic and Onions

#7 Mushrooms

#8 Nuts and Seeds

#9 Dark Leafy Greens

#10 Citrus Fruits

Sending love and strength to those near and far that are battling cancer right now. We currently have family members and dear close friends that are among various stages of just diagnosed, fighting the fight, and emerging victorious. I recognize it takes much more than just eating healthy, but every little bit helps...so I'm going to keep sending you fish!
